APOPKA, Fla. – Britney Golden thought the two thousand sixteen Chevrolet Malibu she had just purchased was as good as fresh.

She bought it at Motor Car Concepts two with 11,000 miles plus the manufacturer’s warranty.

«(I thought) that everything was covered, it’s a brand fresh car, I have no worries,» Golden said.

But at a Chevy dealership months later mechanics there found the car had been in a bad wreck before she bought it.

According to Carfax the wreck caused severe front-end harm and the airbags deployed.

«I’m mad. I’m furious,» Golden said. «I can’t even think straight at that point.»

Now she was told that voided a accomplish manufacturer`s warranty and the extended warranty that had cost her another $Two,000.

«Any repairs done on the car I would have to pay out of pocket,» Golden said. «No warranty.»

Britney says the dealer would only trade her out of that car, if she spent ever more money.

She called Activity nine at the company’s car Apopka car lot but at very first the owners were not forthcoming with answers.

Later a manager told Activity 9`s Todd Ulrich that the dealership didn’t know about the wreck and it attempted to sell Golden another car, but now her credit was bad.

Motor Car Concepts two has nineteen complaints at the Better Business Bureau and it’s rating is under review.

At the Orange County Courthouse Activity nine found nine customers have sued the dealership since 2012.

Three of those buyers claim they weren’t told their vehicles had been repaired after major wrecks.

Repair accomplished Jay Zembower says a licensed dealer should have known.

«As a car dealer, buying, selling, trading cars, you have superior skill over the general public,» he said.

Stuck with the car, Golden stopped making payments and her Malibu was just repossessed.

She has sent a complaint to state regulators.

«I’m going to the next level,» Golden said.

Consumers can usually avoid this mess by purchasing a Carfax or similar car history report.

Also an independent inspection can uncover real trouble under the bondage mask.
