Are you serious right now? It’s a sad thing that happened, and that’s all you can come up with?

I have no idea what race has to do with this but the driver of the truck who passed died was a black man.

Guys, indeed? Don’t feed the troll. If you notice, this person is commenting as “Shiqueta” and replying back to themselves as “Shiqueta” by mistake because they were too idiotic to switch the name… inexperienced troll right there.
stupidty doesnt have a color
Gravely, you have to be racist when people’s lives were taken. Ignorance.

Stupidity does not indeed have a color. Its a shame that people can be so rude and ignorant in today’s society. Some people have died and been gravely injured. If you use that type of language you are abhorrent and a shame to all African Americans using that word. You are also offensive to all white and other races as well. I am deeply offended as I am of a mixed race, and have Mexican, African American, Cherokee Indian and European relatives. You name says enough, let alone your use of a word you truly have no idea of the meaning of. If you are not reprimanded by WGN News and other African Americans or any race working by them you have left yourself open for a lawsuit for defamation. Let alone a place that GOD will send you when you depart the living world that you know nothing about.

So sad for these families! Of any color, creed or nation, it is to bad that these things even have to happen let alone add ratial slurs in the course of conversation! My condolences to the families!
I agree with Dr. Jones, Shiqueta is not of AFRICAN AMERICAN decent! so don’t buy into the hatred! Allen you did the same thing using your stereotyping!! comment of the incident and don’t feed on the IGNORANCE!
Prayers to all families who’s loved ones were taking in this tragic accident. And to Dr. Jones and Paul, don’t be telling that Shiqueta is a white person when you do not know this. If she wants to make racist comments then she is the one who has to deal with it or whoever is being Shiqueta whatever race. but by you telling its only a white person acting out makes me think you might be racist as well. Everybody has an opinion people, stop being hateful and racist!

Healing prayers to all victims with condolences to the nuns order of Little Company of Mary Hospital, on the loss of two of their sister nuns killed in the crash. I got my nurse practitioner degree thru training at Christ Medical Center on 95th, over twenty five years ago. This hospital has been a trauma center for many years through Cook County Medical Center’s, Trauma training programs for physicians and nurses. I live in northern California now and got an alert on my cell phone from Oak Lawn about the accident. My daughter lIves near there. I thought she was a victim. Healing prayers and condolences to the family of the truck driver as well, as they too have suffered a loss. Racist remarks showcase ignorance in a crisis. Something to get others off the topic of concern. Please display compassion for those injured, the deceased and their families, the people who out of the goodness of their heart’s stopped to help at the scene before fire rescue got there, for EMS team, and ER staff as well. What I spotted online and TV news were people of all races helping each other out to help save lives. I am a sixty three year old, white, female, trauma nurse practitioner (retired). I don’t see colors of skin, I notice people very first.

I wouldn’t take my dog to Christ Hospital for treatment. Years ago I went there for a serious injury and waited at least twelve hours for a doctor to arrive that could treat me.

Cause of the accident??
The driver is eighty one years old. The state should test people once they get to this age to see their reflexes and how they treat the road. I see so many elderly drivers that almost cause accidents because they just GO and are not looking.
Very sad for all these families.

The eighty one year old very likely suffered some medical problem which caused the accident.

People over seventy years old shouldn’t be behind the wheel enough said.

Sandra you shouldn’t be driving either. Age has nothing to do with it with your thinking only forty and fifty year olds should be driving. Teenagers and twenty year old. Are not concentrate on the road. Thirty year old are preoccupied with kids
